2016 was quite the year and not always in a good way.
Addie started walking!
Me and Jeremy got a divorce.
Then we started cohabitating again, but in separate beds, don't ask it is super complicated!
I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Degenerative Disc Disorder in my back, and Acute Joint Pain (particularly in my hips). I got a hospital bed, but sent that back missed my bed too much, plus it hurt my hips so much. Got a wheelchair, use it often around the house and out and about, it is a huge help with managing my fatigue and my pain. I spent the whole year basically figuring out what worked for me and what didn't and how to not overdo myself to much on my good days so I don't have to pay to badly for them on the next day. Google "spoonie" and you'll see what I'm talking about.
So with all this going on I just fit in blogging when I could which was not very often, but now that I understand the beast a bit better I am hoping I will be able to sneak in a bit more time to write. I will be reviewing books but sometimes it won't be a long review but instead just a couple sentences or maybe just a rating. Who knows everything is up in the air this year, but it will be fun along the way because I've missed you all and I've really just missed my fingers tapping away at the keys on the keyboard!
So I'm joining a few reading challenges this year and will be putting up sign-up posts for those in the next couple of days. I've been reading the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones, though I'm on a small break from it right now, but God is this girl hilarious so look for the post that I'm working on currently with some of my favorite quotes from the first four books in the series.
Well that was a lot, but it has been awhile, so an update was definitely needed. I'm looking forward to what 2017 has in store for me the good and the bad because I have so much to be grateful for, including all of you out there who read my words and make me feel apart of a loving community of bloggers and blog readers!
SO HERE'S TO 2017, LET'S ROCK IT!
